Read a few economic reports on what would cutting off Russian oil from the international markets would do a few weeks ago. And we are damed if you do and damed if we don't or between a rock and a hard place. If we cut Russia off from the world oil market the international price for Brent crude and NG will double and Russia gets a huge cash windfall by selling to China for more money. By not Cutting Russian oil exports Brent crude and NG is high due to higher risk and speculation but not too high and Russia receives less money for their resources.
