No loads today that’ll pay enough, yet trucks are taking them, that’s the ones who bought a $100,000 500k miler I bet.

If they figure all miles, don’t know where they unloaded, but let’s just say here in town.
Figure those DH and then load miles would be 800-810ish.
The best they can do is 1.75/mile.
Fuel at $5/gallon, if you get 5 mpg is $1/per mile just for fuel.
Then driver salary, say $.50, so the truck makes maybe $.25/mile, so $200.. but wait!
There’s more( isn’t there always) now minus tags, insurance, wear and tear/oil change per mile. $200-cost means a big fat -X

I didn’t start a nonprofit organization, so I dropped a day, and booked a load, loading tomorrow 210 miles, unload tomorrow after noon for $1200 to the truck.

I guess no one told them that..,

Sometimes gets hilly and curvy, and may be lined with turnoffs that quickly go to Fart, VA (really is such a town....and I’m sure it has such a pleasing aroma.)
