Tractor was sold last night and my stepdeck is on auction time, I'm officially a former owner operator.

Way I was taught by the old uncles to put an edge on a castrating knife is to put about a 45 degree on one side and a flat on the other with the rough side of a Morton’s stone then wipe each side a couple times on the smooth side — always worked for me and I’ve cut a #### load of calves and gutted/skinned quite a few deer and elk — others might disagree, but that’s the way I do it

Shove the equipment, pick up some prime cash gain. Take some time to adjust to the variance's in your life, not only trucking. It don't get "better", but you begin to accept living without. Physical absence is the hardest.

Thanks. Everybody does it their way. Was mainly curious if anyone else had heard that hypothesis or had tried it to swear by.
We raised some hogs. Old man had me grab a shoat, by the hind legs, stick it's nose to the ground, spread legs, hold steady while he performed surgery,
with a cane handled straight razor. Can you imagine the uproar if there was film of that? Child abuse, endangering our hands, etc. One thing, you do not turn loose....

Friend of mine thinks he is leaving cryogenic to lease to Landstarve tanker division. I told him don’t give notice until you are approved but the agent assured him so he gave notice. Now he’s constantly amazed and pissed with the new hurdles they come up with every day.
