It’s the middle of April for Christ’s sake—should be crappie fishing right now

I talked to Robert on the job this morning - minus 8 this morning. He lost a newborn calf last night. He is done with this winter.

I remember -19 in mid April in Minnesota. But that was before unvaccinated people caused global warming.

    Still in Covington, TN

Got up here at 6am to "pick up a preload" and skee--daddle.

Guy says, "We need to wash and load the one you have. Gonna be a couple hours".

Fine. Into the sleeper I go.

I'm deep into rhinoceros sleep when the knock comes. At 1130am.
Guy standing there with a clipboard says, "Are you picking up for General Mills?"

"No." And then you all know how the rest of that scene goes.

Finally get my trailer, drive over to the paperwork room on the other side of the building, and get out of the truck only to find I have a severe air leak. I notify dispatch, and that's The Show So Far.

I still have one jumbo pork sammich left, but no coffee.

That's my fault.....I kept hearing "Fill your thermos" drifting through my head yesterday, but I ignored it.

"Don't need to.....I'm picking up a preload first thing, and I'll be able to stop up the road."

    Gahar, gahar.
