The general disaster that austin has turned into - She rents a small house right down the street from where I grew up. Its old and small - 1250 a month - and going up. She bought a used car several months ago, took almost two months to get it registered and legal because, you know, austin. Had to make an appt. at the dmv and wait. Therre used to be a title place that had been there forever. State shut it down.

And there used to be a dedicated commercial license office in an old sears service center. You know, back when they actually fixed broken appliances and stuff. well they closed that office for some unknown resaon so all the commercial stuff has to go thru the cracker box office right down the street that been there since the dawn of time. Last time i had to endure it, took two hours for a simple procedure. The list goes on and on -
So for her, and me, the austin that we knew and remembered has either littlerally vanished, or is on the chopping block. F em -

What do those two emojis at the bottom that look like they are playing motorboat have to do with cake and ice cream?

 

I got a bill last year from whatever authority runs the Carquinez (sp?) bridge. They sent me a photo of what was supposed to be the license plate of our dump truck, which I can guarantee you has never been across that bridge, let alone California. I surprisingly was able to get through on the phone and a polite young (sounding) lady looked up the photo and agreed that it wasn't my plate, and reversed the invoice.

 

That'd almost be worth it.

I asked one of our local rover boys about the national inspection deal a year or so ago. He said that Idaho doesn't participate in that. I guess he should know.
