Rolled out Sunday after 10 days at the house. Not sure, but I think the wife was ready for me to go after 5 days. She had all my laundry done, folded and stacked next my truck bag.

 

10 hours . 531 miles . plus 1 air bag changed out in under 1 hour. Including parts purchase, tool cleaning and gathering and putting awaying of said tools. Today has been productive... Although air bags have gotten wtf expensive. They wanted $250 for a firestone airbag no hardware. The last one i bought for the truck full hardware included $165 plus tax... So went with the crappy TRP bags for $180 but bought 2 to have a spare on the truck..

 

Start saving for a DEF filter clean/replacement.

I am putting money away for the inevitable engine overhaul. Which i think will be done by me , getting tired of reading all these stories about shops doing things half assed

Have to admit that when I was in the full OTR mindset, after about a week at home I was ready to toss myself back in the truck....... Unless it was iced over in Dec thru Feb. Then they had to throw down a serious bribe to get me off the sofa.

 

We had one of those in the oilfield to pull water lines. It was smaller with a canopy, no cab. The design was awful. The parking brake lever when applied would castrate a man if he wasn’t careful. I asked the shop to move it for testicles sake and all I got was a dumb look. Perfect. But don’t dare miss the next safety meeting. Glad that crap is behind me.
