Some of us take care of our old stuff and get about 20 times the life out of them, they have no computers telling us what, when, and where and we know how to turn on things when we need them. We fight the new always because we want to control our own safety and we do not need a switch for common sense.

And let me go on water, we have been depending on glaciers and snow pack to get through summers for a long time, They are basically gone now from this cycle of our planet. I get the water first since I found a place way up in the mountains, then I flush a bit down to the next user who does the same. Water is going to become a expensive commodity soon. Drink more beer.

Hmmm pumping out an aquafer not having ramifications. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah California found that if you drain a aquafer you will get earthquakes as the land there wont have what it did to support the land. Time to move @Dave_in_AZ

I get to drive up into that cold. Unload Wed. 6am, near Chicago.
At least, I’m one person prepared. Have the clothes for it. I even got ski goggles.

I'm well aware of headlight technology. I guess I should have said - All the cars I see with their lights oFF
are late model cars that have automatic lights.

Ski goggles are a good thing to have in a blizzard or sand storm.

I have that on my Ram and on the Pete. I have no need for the “automatic” setting because I’m not a complete moron who has to rely on such things.
