Well 4 bypasses were no problem. But the ?cm extrusion on my aorta is a few more than DOT allows. So mine gone. Supposedly an excitable moment and emergency exertion could do me in. It was outlined as: You see a car leave the road in front of you, a woman driving just past you and has a baby in a car seat. The car suddenly leaves the road, hits the ditch, spins, stops begins to blaze. You stop. Others stop and run toward. But you jump out, rush down, help
pulling on a door... The adrenaline rush and the physical exertion combined. That scenario would kill you.

I actually turn the stove on and drape a tarp over it with the kids underneath worshipping fossil fuels. They always fall asleep for some reason.

I had stroke in 2013. EMT gave me the magic shot on the way to the hospital. Mostly no control on right side and balance way off.
Physical Therapist here sat in front of me and said. Mr Johnson, If you will do as we say, as well as you can, I may not bring you all the way back, but I will bring you as far back as you can be brought. What is your ambition to recover. I said, "Hell, get well and go home.." I came/they brought me from helping me sit up on the side of a hospital bed and them washing my old body, to me walking down the stairs, getting in a car with dual controls, leaving the parking lot to circle Tupelo on US 45 and I22 connections. (Lady had nerves of steel, never flinched, gave suggestions, or sucked air loudly).

About 8 weeks to there, but could not swallow. In the hospital, they fed me thru nose tube. On leaving the hospital for home, they installed a connection in my stomach (just like a rubber valve stem in an auto tire, with a larger tube spudded out about 8 inches. So, I am fine at home. but about 6,9,12,3,6, take a large syringe device, load an amount of clear water to flush line and hydrate, then load with a very similar to Similac liquid food product for a meal. All same, no variety. Another PT came out twice week, hooked up an electrical device under my chin, turned it up till I told her "calf rope", then I would chant... "Good Girl"
and "Coffee Cup" as loud and forceful as I could for a timed period. Periodically we would take little ice slivers to try. Idea was if I could not swallow it was melting to water and would not choke me.
The happiest day of my life;other than marrying my wife, our 3 girls being born healthy, was the day I swallowed a melting sliver of ice.
(If you ever have similar situation; when first recovered, be very careful of eating chicken. Chicken is a stringy long grain, hard to gulp cleanly.)
(Just so you won't be concerned on the "valve stem" removal after 3 weeks past recovery, it is simple. You on gurney. Doc on one side, nurse
on other with a towel..Go on 3... On 3 the doc jerks it completely out, nurse blots with the towel and they turn to leave. You shout ""What about a bandage here folks??" Doc is washing his hands and says.. "None needed. The stomach heals from the inside out". He is right not even a band aid.
