So I didnt actually look at my delivery date on my paperwork. Just assumed the supplier Im delivering to is closed today. Guess it doesn't matter, its 4:45 now lol.

 

Did you expect anything else?

 

Now the media is hyping 40 to 60 mph winds.

That's just another day in WHY-OH-MING.

I guess once you're so far committed to the sky is falling, you need to grasp at something to keep the hype going.

So any of you Idaho types know much about independent meat co. Out of Twin, They sell products under the Falls Brand name. The thick cut Bacon is good.
Just finished eating two BLTs made from yard maters and this Bacon.

 

WHY-OH-MING... Little America Truck Stop, 1974 and it was during one of the worst blizzards and coldest, miserable times I can remember.

So cold that I had to kick my engine up to about 900/1000 rpms just to keep the heat in the cab warm. Almost all of the trucks were idled up and columns of white smoke rose from every stack. It was an incredible site to see as the truck stop lights shown through the falling snow on rows and rows of trucks. Temps dipped well below -10° not counting for a horrible wind chill of, if memory serves me correctly, like -35° ..... and I was really afraid that my truck might gel up and quit.

I had taken a shower and foolishly not dried my hair. I remember opening the door and looking for my truck. It was way over on the other end of the parking lot. Tote bag in hand I started across the parking lot, half walking/running when my head began to hurt. You know - like when you get brain-freeze from drinking something cold - too quickly. I touched my head and noticed my hair was a block of ice, and began an all out run to get to my truck. I had all I could do to get the door unlocked and pull myself up into my truck and collapsed across the doghouse in severe head pain. It took awhile for it to subside and needless to say, lesson learned.... wear a hoodie when your head is wet when in Wyoming in the winter.

 

My lesson learned would have been Don't run Wyoming in the winter if an arctic blast is coming.

 

I just got 8 pints of peppers canned and a bag of okra blanched and froze.. and 2 bags of pole beans blanched and froze..
Now it’s time to cook supper
