The truck next to us just fired up, and woke me up from momentary rhinocerosness.

I was panicking, and thought it was 0715 in the morning.

The OM was like," You're so weird sometimes."

5 dollar garage sale chair nearly cratered on me. Cordless drill battery fizzled out mid job. Had to get out dads vintage Craftsman drill to finish tge job. Put a 3 inch screw in each leg.
I think someone here mentioned dressing screws with bar soap. Worked great.

24 degrees here in Gem City, with a motherless wind and snow squalls.

The wind chill correction has not been calculated, mainly because I'm in the house, and burning fossil fuels at a rate that would alarm the children.

Missus Skillet and I drove down to Cincinnati today to break bread with some family friends from Albany, NY. They were in town for a conference.

We met them at a bar that's trying to be a snooty, artsy café. They were only serving "brunch" at 2pm. The "dinner" menu wasn't available until 4pm........

Anyway, good company, food was okay (what little of it there was....it's a "fusion" joint :banghead:), and we were able to help them out by driving them to the airport, rather than leaving them at the mercy of Uber.

Nice little outing. Missus Skillet is pleased.

THAT woulda been a great idea, if only I had remembered that there is a Shell station less than a mile from the airport that sells Krispy Krunchy Chicken.....

No Chester's between CVG airport and the home 20. More's the pity....
