    I was speaking to a friend a while back who was planning to rewire his home and add a 200 amp box. He is going to need a larger gauge wire for the service. He said he almost passed out at how much a foot that wire was. Just the 3/0 wire was almost $5.25 a foot and he needs almost 110 feet of it.

    Edit. I know 110 feet is a bit long for the typical home. I questioned why he needed so much and he said because of the way his attic is built he has to run the wire in conduit around the outside of the house high up on the walls.

    We left last night to avoid the Unprecedented generation of maniacs populating 95 and The GWB only to find the entire lower deck of the GWB closed.

    So there's (2) two lanes available. Upper deck.

    I swear everytime we've gone across, there's been someone broke down or crashed in the left lane.

    Last night was no exception.

    Then better part was right as there's only two lanes available at the actual approach there's a full on collision in the right lane.

    SO

    1.5 hours to go 1 mile and cross the GWB.

    The OM went into growl.

    Now it's getting hot, and we're starting to cook like sausages.

    Global warming is real!!!!!!

    They take care of a group of ferals here, so now we don't feel so bad about being FLEECED, knowing that our money went to a worthy cause.
