The OM is awake, and there was an empty dish situation.

    Therefore, I am awake.

Far be it from me to try and start any holy war as that certainly isn’t my intent, but I can’t help but look at that through a different lens than most people.

I saw Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion of the Christ”and was told it was quite historically accurate.

There’s also the Christian teaching of “Jesus sacrificed himself for us”.

I have a lot of trouble trying to reconcile those two things, because what I saw was a plain and simple murder of a man who only tried to do good in the world by an jealous, indignant mob. As I recall even Pilate was scratching his head wondering what crime Jesus committed to warrant that brutal political statement. What sane man would go through this willingly as some sort of divine plan?

I think that's why The Stations of the Cross are observed on Good Friday.

There's no Mass or Confession for two days leading up to Easter.

I'm no Biblical scholar. Just a repentant sinner.

I do know Christ told Peter," You are a rock. And upon you I will build My Church."

So forwhatever all the haters will now throw at that, it is His Church. And God doesn't let even one of His plans fail.

    Coffee. Coffee is good.

The OM said I must get some miles in when The Orb rises.

All true IMHO— problem I have is that proven liars have had 2000 years to reinterpret the word— so I guess you’re left 2 options, either believe or don’t— something to contemplate during a stimulating morning of cleaning up dog poo and tree trimming

Eternity is a pretty long time. I think The Lord knows a lot more about patience than any of us ever want to.

    So.
Getting around super slow after yesterday’s great mechanical adventure.
Ole lady noticed, and said something about maneuvers that help back pain.
I looked it up, I don’t think I could do this years ago, since i tore a disc loose in lower back in my twenty’s when i was working for a farmer, spent a couple days bedfast and how the toliet trips were made was pretty much get out of bed and crawl on hands and knees to bathroom.
Never seen a doctor to this day about it either.

So, it looks like I’m more stuck with image 1 than 2.

I have several very good friends that are Catholic. Every year they observe Lent. One has scared me for years. For that entire 40 days before Easter, all he will eat is what I consider a nasty potato soup. He almost always loses anywhere from 25 to 30 pounds during Lent. I was raised more as a Southern Baptist/Pentecostal. Catholicism, LDS, and all forms of the Islamic faiths while I respect them I had a long tough learning curve. I do have friends that are all 3.

I know The OM is fair, but sometimes she is kinda hard too.
