Okay OPUS, I'll let ya in on (a) recent event(s) that may well define HIGH STRUNG for low living:
Starting Friday Morning, I swallowed one PROCHLORPERAZINE 10 MG TAB at 05:00.
Took Two 10 MG DIAZEPAM at 07:18 for a PET/CT at 08:00 (for the relaxing part).
That evening, took another prochlorperazine 10 mg tab (1 tablet every six hours for nausea or vomiting, which I had neither) at 19:23.
At 21:50 I took 1 Tramadol 58 TV 50MG (1 or 2 tablets every 6 hours).
Urination ceased after tramadol. I was told it would OPEN Urinary Tract. Another medical falsity.
About 7 hours later, I woke up the Wife and told her to get up and dressed as I've called 911. Ambulance arrived about 0430, and we chatted with personnel about possibly best place to go and ended up at same Hospital I'm having Chemo "treatments".
Wife and I drove to Hospital E.R., checked in, explain what's been happening timeline, quickly directed into Emergency Room and a single room, within 30 minutes 2 Male Doctors see me and start the ball rolling.
I had enough pain but not too much to not be sarcastic and comical.
SARCASM: It works wherever you work it.
Diagnosis: Acute Urinary Retention, Constipation Adult.
2 Nurses arrive after Doctors and assess it's best for a catheter, which was my preferred request with a LARGE bag. There's a point in everyone's life when modesty goes out the window with a concrete block.
mine disappeared in the latter 70's.
Departed E.R. at 08:57.
Now I have a Catheter until, probably, Friday, 4-14.
My ABS need attention yet not too much too fast.
I'm 64, not a spring just sprung turkey.
I have a 2 hour chemo infusion Thursday starting at 09:45 and maybe Catheter can be gone then during that event, but probably not.
They may well defer to E.R. or another Doctor.
If Urology division doesn't remove it by Friday then it's the E.R., where most (another story) of those wonderful Nurses perform their miracles.
Those events may have an inkling of HIGH STRUNG. I've had much worse but they disappeared when I quit Alcohol in June '92, 7 years before Trucking.
CHEERS!! would ANY of the above description possibly cause a wee bit of HIGH ANXIETY?? end of line -
dwells40, Opus, Dale thompson and 10 others Thank this.
