Thanks. He's gonna let me try to trip plan and then send it to him and he'll check it to make sure it's good. I'm gonna be babysat over the phone since I have no idea what I'm doing lol. He's gonna try to get me out west over the mountains. I've read it on here and he said the same thing to me. You can go too slow over them every day but you may only go down too fast once. I know the parking can suck and the idiots on the fuel island can suck but this is something I've literally wanted to do for like 20 years but I just couldn't/can't walk away from a 95k/yr job to try because if I don't like it I would be pissed lol. One nice thing is I'm very familiar with the truck because I have been servicing it for about two years now. It's big with a big sleeper and takes like three miles to turn around compared to my cascadia day cab lol.

Lol... If you havent drove a big hood much before it will Definetally be interesting for you... If your like me and ride with the seat on the floor, you cant see anything closer than 50 feet infront of your bumper... Lol And judging where that front blind side corner of the truck is WAY different in a hood compared to an aero truck. Sounds like a fun opportunity for you. I used to drive a W900L years ago... Loved that truck. It also had a CAT, a 3406E to be exact... But mine had an 18 speed. It would pass anything and everything... Except a fuel stop. Lol

@FlaSwampRat, I envy you. I'm in sort of the same boat. I have a good job but would like to go back to OTR. Hard to give up a good job for maybe less money and there's no way I'm gonna spend 1 or 2 weeks in a truck with a driver trainer.

Yeah.... slow down hill...get home safe.

The only thing he will be sorry about is that little Cascadia won't feel like a real truck anymore... Lol

I've never driven a big hood truck other than working on them before. It's a 1992 and looks just like the one in your pic except it's silver with black fenders. This truck is also very fast, I have only ever driven it bobtail but it's like car fast lol.

That one in the pic I posted would easily do a Dollar (100mph), and then some. And hill that slow my Volvo down to 30 mph... That W900L would pull at 65 mph, while loaded to 86k gross... 45 mph at 105k gross. It was a beast of a truck... All this talk makes me jones to be back driving it again. Lol
