When you get up close to those green hills, it's beyond wierd. Folks that live there dread heavy rain and the greening of the hills.

If you own property the county expects you to mow (aka weed wack) that green stuff before the dry season sets in. If you don't they send in a county crew to do the job and you are charged a hefty bill.

The really wierd thing is that the "crop" is something different. One year it will be safe. Another year some kind of tough, stringy beanpole plant, another year a noxious plantain. There are several kinds of plants, and I don't know why some are dormant for years before reappearing.

An industrial weed whacker on wheels is essential.

These would be the small engine mounted units
    Bush hog
    Push hog
    Brush hog
    Weed hog

    These are PTO driven
    Tractor hog
    Pull hog
Chain cutter ( Use chain as the cutting blade)
    Highway mow

Just a few of the things they seemed to be called.
All the same for the most part.

The reason the green mountains are snow covered is do to the drought brought on by global warming.
