That’s one of the things I never understood about golf. I get the taking a walk in a park like setting, drink beer, talking trash and BSing and all that. But the low scores are the opposite of just about anything else.

 

That posting bail is what keeps me out of most trouble.

 

Still don’t understand the concept— I pay for it, #### sure gonna get my money’s worth

 

Had a dude at work tell me one time that the way I play, they ought to charge me double.
I was in no way offended. I felt like I got over on them. Yea me!

 

when i was in high school and younger , would be out on the course everyday in the summer.. nobody on the course..dad would never buy me the nice pro vi titleist only the crappy top flights or similar... told me if i wanted the nice ones i had to fish them out of the lakes.. only type of fishing ive ever been good at...

 

Golf does have a Competition where the HIGHER the Score the better, the Scoring is called the Stableford System

It still wouldn't turn @Opus into the next Tiger Woods because a Point Value is assigned to (for instance)

Bogey +1
Par +2
Birdie +3
Eagle +4

Going out on a limb here but if Opus is sneaking up on 100 after 9 Holes, he probably as drank more Beers than scored Bogies

 

I went to a tournament like that one time in Colorado......around Denver I think. Got to say hidey ho to Nick Price.....he was a really nice man.

No dude, seriously. There is a tournament that does exactly what @4mer trucker says. I know. I was there.
