I remember junior year of high school I took a part time job at a truss company, you had to take a tape measure test as part of the application. No big deal as I'd grown up doing foundation work. Wonder how many kids these days would pass that test?

Well... good time with the BBQ..... but I was highly disappointed!.... meat was overcooked for my liking.... the guests loved it... not me!..... the problem was.... so, I used to have the perfect tri tips formula, in CA ..... well that was 15+ years ago, hard to find cut here.... soooo... what I used to get was uncut, meaning I had the full fat on one side.... what ya find here ( if ya find it) is trimmed..., so that messed me up.. that plus knowing the guests wouldn't eat pink meat, lead me to grilling defeat. Even though they all liked it and took some home with them, I ain't happy with it..... but..... I did save 1 more back in the freezer for me and Sandy another day... so, we'll see if I still got it then!

I walked away from them in 1994. Best thing I ever did to get my health on track. Of course everything else went to crap a few years later....
