What if it Snows?

We used to use mayo to make grilled cheese when I was growing up...it helped conserve the margarine for the breakfast toast.

I never even HEARD of Duke's mayo until it was mentioned on WIIS.

Then, I was in our local Kroger before Memorial Day weekend, and they had a display consisting of a pyramid of those big #1 potatoes next to a pyramid of jars of Duke's mayonnaise.

"Happy Potato Salad season", I guess.

I still haven't tried Dukes...I don't use a lot of mayo.

 

Elk/Corriente burger (1/2 & 1/2)
Sweet union chopped up
3 or 4 baby red taters chopped up
2 or 3 garden fresh maters
Can of sweet corn
Any other veggies in the fridge that are about to go bad
Brown the burger with the onions mixed in
Add couple cups of water
Mash the maters up and throw them in with the juice
Throw everything else in
Salt and pepper good
Cook on medium/high for about 45 minutes
Then simmer for 4 or 5 hours adding water or V8 as needed

Treat yourself with your next grilled cheese. Caramelized onion, gruyere, white cheddar, and muenster with rosemary and I prefer a honey Dijon. Goes great with a tomatoes bisque.
