Would have been better if the media had taken a breath and verified better.
The constant barrage of a 2 to 5 minute story on repeat for 24/7 is what got to me. Especially when combined with the reporting of unverified rumors. It was like Fakebook before Fakebook.
What if it Snows?

Well my tractor has a MIL on. Been in the shop this morning, def nozzle was mostly plugged. Regening and it should be good. I still think it's impossible to do two turns into Chicago a day. This week should get me to see where we are at.

I also remember that didn’t last long before the bs Michael Moore and the other fringe lunatics started blaming Bush and Cheney. And coming up with conspiracy theories. I also remember a lot of the personal freedoms we lost as a result.
I also remember all the lives and treasure we spent just to piss it all away in the end.Cattleman84, Dale thompson, JolliRoger and 9 others Thank this. -

Some of the truckstops and gas stations really raped their customers that day. Flying J, Pilot (they were separate then) and many other raised their diesel prices as much as $0.75 a gallon on rumors of the government shutting down all of the refineries. Which, seeing as how the Flying J at the time had a couple of their own refineries, was total B.S. Others like the TA held the line. I was at Bosselman's in Nebraska and talked to one of their managers. He said that they had seen most of the competition jacking up prices during the day. They were getting nervous about it but they had kept checking with their suppliers and were continually told that there was no price increase coming.
It was years before I ever set foot in another FJ or Pilot after that.Cattleman84, Dale thompson, JolliRoger and 12 others Thank this. -
