I've been put back on oatmeal. Got the full 5 in yesterday. She's talking about the bike now. It's wrong on so many levels.

Good thing I hit the snooze button this morning. My drop and hook wasn't ready so now I'm sitting in the dock. That would have happened at 0500 instead of 0800 if I hadn't decided to sleep more.

I got to the first stop to deliver and the guard shack looked closed. First time there. The directions to the place were the usual mishmash of misinformation provided by unknown drivers. This one had at least three revisions saying the same thing three different ways.

Anyway, one of the notes was something about they won't let you in until 0730, but seemed like that was for live loads and/or maybe because of a shift change. I got out of the truck and looked in the guard shack. The computer was on but sitting on a lock screen and there was a lamp but it had pink and green paper taped to the shade so there was almost no light. I thought maybe I would have to come back and began to back out when this chubby zoomer guard with a stylish haircut came out. I pulled back up and he said, "I was only gone for ten minutes to the bathroom!"

I hadn't even given the kid a mean look. I said sorry, had a confusing note, wasn't sure what was going on. He was hostile on the way out too. Looked like this job was the most exercise he's ever gotten, walking the length of a truck and back. I usually don't think mean things about my grandson's generation, but today I did. So sensitive to even the possibility of criticism.

I guess a note on the glass saying "Gone to the restroom, back in 10 minutes" would have been entirely too much trouble.
    It's YOUR fault, driver!
