I don't understand how a child got ahold of enough votes to gain that seat.

 

I did fall in love with Rosanne Barr today while listening to the radio.

 

1) 29 years old is not "a child", and just because someone was around for the Taft Adminstration doesn't mean they are qualified.

2) She got the votes because she went out into the community, listened to them, and spoke to their issues. She ran against an incumbent who did not live in the district (his kids go to a DC area school). Crowely didn't even show up to debate her.

All politics is local, if you don't attend to your constituents, you get voted out.
