Now here is the weird part - in 2006 it became illegal to scrap US pennies "in the US" but you can scrap them in Mexico and Canada. about 195 to 200 pennies make a pound of copper and price of copper is about $3.92 a pound.homeskillet, dwells40, JoeyJunk and 12 others Thank this.
