Old iron fans will refuse to believe that picture is real as they are lost in nostalgia.

32 tons of what? I've got a 26' barrel bed and 25 ton of rock is 18" above the sides down the middle. That is a 23' at best, common out east.

She gave all her road drivers HUGE bonuses at the end of her last tour over here, so I think she knows what is involved to make her world turn. Now, her political bias I disagree with, but overall she seems like a decent person.

Here in KS they don't enforce Bridge Laws if you're hauling road-building material.

Or put in a water softener system when you build a new house if you know there is hard water.

That ranch had us bid on this project several years ago, and the design included a new diversion structure upstream. Clear at the end of that dike is their current diversion structure (for irrigation). The ranch manager decided to fix it himself without following the design of the engineer that they hired. Their fix was to build this dike and force all of the flow in front of the diversion gate. Looks fine during low-flow, but come June when run-off is in full swing there is not enough room for the water, and it will continue to erode and eventually bypass the diversion structure and send the river down the irrigation channel.

We will take out a portion of that dike to allow high flow to continue down the river channel, while still supplying water to the irrigation channel.
