Enjoying some pulled pork barbecue topped with cole slaw near Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee with the family.

Reelfoot is a big lake known for its bald eagle habitat but they must be hiding.

The misses decided she wanted to follow me to a big empty industrial park to try and get the feel of being a passenger on a bike.

Two issues were discovered. I have to get used to having an extra 175 lbs on the back, although I was once. Haven’t had a passenger on board since I nailed a deer with the ex on the back in 2008. The other is she needs to learn to lean with the bike in corners.

Potential thundertain was noticed on the horizon so we had abandon our position and race home.

She starts leaning and you will have problems.
She needs to be neutral on the back.

That’s just it. She’s fighting it.

I explained that motorcycles are more stable at road speed than at parking lot speed. That strikes her as counterintuitive.

Not a fan of passengers on my bike. I think the last one was Crazy Tammy back in 98 ~

What about explaining it like a top or gyroscope, that's what I had to do with wife. Once she figured out that everything else made sense to her. Then I couldn't keep up with her alot times. But she was riding a 1200 sportster which corner better than my soft tail standard did.

    Really?

I sat on an 883 once which is the stereotypical “girl’s bike”. I thought it felt top heavy myself and salute any woman that wants to hold one of those up at a stop light.
