Ended up waiting 5 hours.

 

Well no delivering in S Tx tomorrow morning for me.

Truck drank a 1/2gal of coolant in 14mi when I bobtailed to pick up my trailer.

 

What they paid you is chump change since most truck stops charge over $100 per hour for "mechanics".

Dealer labor rates are even higher.

 

Did you use the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch?

 

Did the oil level go up?

 

Good question. And not good if it did.

 

Just off the 55/57 split in Missouri. Currently 60, down to 40 in the morning; perfect sleeping weather. Found a nice quiet place to park where I don't have to listen to douche bags idle or run their stupid TriPacs all night. Got the big blanket out, the Pooh pjs on, and life is very good.
Got pizza too.

 

Nope. Oil level is good. Its blowing the coolant out of the exhaust. You can smell it and there's evidence of it on the left stack.

The only mechanic I trust called it 3 weeks ago, but said to have the shop that deleted it check the egr cooler and block it off if it was leaking.

This isn't a call I want to make in the morning...

 

I am in Brasil dealing with Brazilian bureaucracy and other headaches and issues... don't know how long it's going to take to do all that I need to do here... but I know that it's going to be months... and I came prepared for that... this was one of the reasons I never bought a truck in America...
