I’m living the dream.
Laundry all done including sheets and duvet. Just had a good chunk of red meat. ####, shower, and shaved and I get to crawl into my clean sheets tonight. I roll out at 7am-ish tomorrow to deliver close by.
Oh and the low temp is predicted to be 49°, plus it’s the same guys parked to me as last night. So niiiice and quiet.
I promised my self I wouldn’t cry tears of joy. -
ISX’s up to the 15 model year have some real problems.
Bad process on the ring sets, carbon packing and cylinder lobe problems. High oil consumption and lots of regeneration because of it, add in any real idle time and the emissions system just get killed. Sort of the vicious cycle of death. Cummins has a top notch inframe kit that will fix the problems, and yep gonna run about 25k for it. Does have 300k warranty. That does not cover DPF and SCR units, that will be about $2300.00 for filters.
Watched at least 30 trucks go down this path.RidgeRunner731, D.Tibbitt, Lepton1 and 3 others Thank this. -
The OM and Kitty have returned from safari and are fairly wiped out.

Pretty strong point. I ordered a St Louis style pizza one time and I swear it was a recipe off the back of a Ritz cracker box. Just plain strange.D.Tibbitt, thelushlarry, Cattleman84 and 2 others Thank this.

Im aware of the issues. This engine is actually a Cummins Recon. If we decide to go through the engine and I take on the financial responsibility of it, the local shop I trust will handle the job. This truck will never see a dealer or Cummins shop as long as Im in it.D.Tibbitt, thelushlarry, Cattleman84 and 1 other person Thank this.

I took a sabbatical after I sold my electrical business for about 6 months in Boston's North End. Got an apartment on Salem Street. Was deciding weather or not to go to BC at the ripe old age of 36.
Anyway-
There's a pizza shop on Salem that uses no tomato sauce only thinly cut tomatoes. It's the single best pizza you will ever eat. I've brought the place up in conversation before, and there are lots of people that know of it. Little hole in the wall.RidgeRunner731, D.Tibbitt, Lepton1 and 4 others Thank this. -
There's a place in east helena 12" pizza weighs 10 lbs. Best pizza going.D.Tibbitt, InTooDeep, Cattleman84 and 2 others Thank this.

Like someone else said... everything is possible... specially with this "climate change" thing...
Actually, it has been a little colder than usual here in Cabo Frio.... it's 27C humid and cloudy... I'm going to bed soon... and get cozy under the blankets...
D.Tibbitt, thelushlarry and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
