Seeing as this is the last night of being a bachelor, I decided dinner should be what most might consider breakfast. Made a big bowl of Ranch Eggs, (Huevos rancheros). No picture, this stuff is not very photogenic.
Any way, I decided to try some Ro-Tel diced tomatoes with fire roasted Hatch green chilies.
Pretty dang good. Has a nice zippy flavor, with just right amount of heat.

Mautson Wisconsin. Sparta Wisconsin has a small truck stop that has cheese. I bought horseradish there and cheese curds. 10 year old it's $28 a pound.:eek:

Iowa is the only state that has good pork tenderloins. The Farris truck stop in Missouri had a good one, but sadly it got razed and turned into a Peelot.

Mom used to stop someplace on her way to Austin years ago and get 10 year olde cheese. Place closed years ago.
Stumbled onto a place called Held cheese in Slinger Wisconsin my one (1) year of OTR. Very cool place with many different kinds of cheese. And beef jerky.
Website doesn’t show all the different cheese.

There's a lot of meth out there in rural Iowa these days. When I was a kid growing up there, the worst you would come across was mostly guys who smelled like beer during the day. Very sad.

The missus has declared that I get mean when I drink whisky, but I'm just stupid when I drink gin, so no more whisky for me.

The missus' grandpa was a grain buyer for decades. He told a story about how when he first started out he found a cheaper hotel than the company had booked. Said he went back to HQ in Minneapolis feeling kinda smart about saving the company money and told his boss. He got his ### chewed instead. Boss said, I want every farmer and grain elevator operator to know that we have lots of money. You stay in the best hotel available wherever you go! And so he did from that point forward.
