Well I get am extra long weekend... But not by choice, something happened and my dispatcher put me down on the list for a load Monday instead of Saturday as I told him. Even excellent dispatcher mess up once in a while. When I first found out I was livid, as I cant afford to be sitting that long, and I informed the boss. The boss looked into it and apologized for the miscommunication and gave me $200, which I didnt expect but am grateful for. So I'm trying to enjoy the extra time with my wife and kids. But it still sucks that I'm not out on the road makeing money, I've been trying to build up some extra cash for X-mas. Between unexpexted expenses and having to take a few extra days off for various reasons I'm pretty much broke.

 

Local discount chain has Oscar Meyer bacon on sale this week.... 3 one pound packs for 5 bucks. Fried up a pack and "shared" it with the wife (she may have had 3 slices) for snack/supper the other night. May have to do it again today.

Was thinking fry it up and crumble it over some toasted sourdough with cedar and pop it in the toaster oven to melt the cheese.

The joys of being home every night..... I can do stuff like this.

Been a very good week. Wanted to end it with a good run.
Hoping they're waiting to give me the best. But deliver tonight. Most these Supertruckers won't listen. Give them a load. They won't wait till they're told to do it. I'm hoping this is true.

So remember the #####ing I was doing? Well, my co has paid me $150/day for every day my truck has been down. Kind of eases the sting of the whole situation, lol.

 

nothing to scoff at, except the POS truck that has had accidental damage

 

probably not worth much more than that.....
Back in the Good life City for a couple of days.

 

We'll see what's up with it come next week. Im betting the ex driver backed into something or damaged some property with a trailer and didnt notify anyone and thats why he got fired.
