What if it Snows?

How about doing six years in jail - not prison JAIL- while waiting to be tried for allegedly stealing a backpack? If he had been convicted he would have faced a maximum of 5 years. No money for bail and the money for the lawyer went fast and the "lawyer" (read butt wipe) dropped him. His case kept getting bumped from the docket and he had no recourse.

Or the guy who had his parole violated because his missed a meeting with his PO because he was hurt at work and in the ER. When they went before the judge it was argued that he missed the meeting and failed a drug test. He failed the drug test because of the pain killers the ER gave him. Judge remanded him for the remainder of his sentence.

Or the guy who got 30 days in jail for missing jury duty?

Our criminal justice system is messed up.

 

Dont forget about the rich people who bribe the colleges to get their children into schools and when they get caught they get a slap on thr wrist, if it was any of us they would lock us up for a long time. What about oj , gets off as a free man after killing his wife... I think celebrities have their own "justice" system .......alot of corruption in that industry

 

It's not just that the rich and famous have more and better lawyers - though that is HUUUUUUUGGGGGGGE!

The whole sentencing structure is ridiculous, time to trial is absurd, and don't get me started on the discovery process.

 

Nothing like listening to the neighbors engine fan kicking on every 30 seconds on high idle, when its 58 degrees out???? Gotta love it

 

Earplugs. I hear nothing. Have to be sure the alarm is next to my head or I don't hear that either.

 

I’m stealth sleeping at the receiver. It’s 50° and as quiet as a tea cup.
