    had crushed velvet stitched in a diamond pattern with buttons, lol. Had a refrigerator built in that required blocks of ice.

    The elders had a feel for stroking a file for how much it cut each stroke.
    Here is a vise and a set tool as I recall seeing used regularly in the day.

    I graduated from high school in the Bay Area in 1967, the "Summer of Love ". Most every weekend you could see the Dead, the Jefferson Airplane or other name bands I playing for free in Golden Gate Park. Lots of smoke getting passed and the cops pretty much left people alone. Good times

    Ok younger than you.

    I worked in NYC for a year. One of the Stewart's on the Staten Island ferry told me in the old days you could smoke pot in one section of the boat. The boat was the Kennedy. From the 1960s. All wood seats, all carved up. It was my favorite boat.
