If it snows, your truck gets a little bit dirtier a little bit faster. You slow down a bit. In 40 years I've never used chains. Don't even know how to put them on, and I was a driving instructor for two years. When roads get that bad, I always shut down and waited. I also never ran anywhere they might be needed. Only one load going west of Salt Lake City - in April.

To all who may be interested:
At 8:30 AM, this morning in Central Daylight Saving Time.., I will turm 89 years old.
I am not senile nor demented (much) but have fat finger and arthritis. Watery old eyes from running team west into the sun for over a year.
All this to explain my many edits for spelling, I can spell, but the eyes see and the fingers stroke and I post quite quaint wording...
The reference mentioned of me moving is my moving from one division of Traceway Retirement Community to another.Traceway Manor-Independent living,Cedars Health and Rehabilitation-Mending and rehab,Mitchel Center-Assisted living-Light and The Greenhouses- Skilled nursing + dementia.

The Manor-An apt with kitchen/LR, separate BR, 1 noon meal. You prepare or go out for breakfast/dinner.
    washer/dryer on each hall.
Cedars Health- medical and rehab facility. I have used after a stroke. Basic recovery in hospital, then continued care and heavy rehab till well.
Mitchell Center-A nice room with roomy closet, tiled bath with well equipped shower, apt sized fridge, and 3 good meals a day. Transportation provided to and from any medical apts.. Beds made and room cleaned. For an additional reasonable amount, (which i do not need ) can get assistance in bathing, dressing, movement around to meals or activities.
Green houses-Skilled nursing assistance and memory care in a house, 8 separate rooms/baths, common living/TV rom, common meals around a harvest table.

Owned and operated by Methodist Senior Services. a non profit. The Methodist Church assists only thru it's "Sunday Fund". A proud proclamation is that no "Elder" has ever been denied because they have outlived their financial resources. I eat daily 3 tables from a 102 year old man; who walks in with a walker, sits, eats, rises and goes down the hall...

Happy birthday old man. Your house warming gift is in the mail. We can call it a birthday gift as well.
I thought you were Presbyterian. Or don't trust Presbyterians. I can't remember. The Hazul was paying closer attention.
    Anyway, happy birthday.
