    homer alaska was my first taste , btw ill tell all the outdoorsy fellas in here ya owe it to yourself to make up to homer get you a guide nice hunting , fishing ya might even see a grizz , carry big gun or send ahead to a local FFL .444 marlin or the like .

    Have a long time friend that goes to Alaska every other year. They went and limited out on both Halibut and Salmon. They get some place to process it. Fresh packed any way you want it. They will also smoke the Salmon. Gave me some of each. The smoked salmon was perfect. Apple wood. Light smoke, tender…..man that was some good fish.

    Wow, that was a nasty strike. Hope the driver was out of the truck. Looks like it took the brunt of the hit. Seems like the engine had minor damage.

    According to my BNSF people, every crossing should have a sign/placard that has an emergency number and the number of that crossing on it. They have said, that number on the sign, it won’t even give you a ring tone before someone is talking to you. Was told, if you have to cross one and even think you might get stuck, call any way and they will work with you.
