What if it Snows?

Wife’s brother that lives in Asheville has a Moat around his place— no food, power, phone, water or sewer— except that he is one of those STUPID PREP’ers that doesn’t trust the SMART PEOPLES so he has all that— he’s just trying to keep it now

 

I’m at the bottom of the hill. There are only two types in Asheville. His type and hippies.

 

I guess the magic of living where we do is we're about 30 minutes away from a bad day. We have all that stuff, the only thing i bought was 2 cases of water, a 30 pack of beer, and a half gallon of bourbon. If you live here, you understand that you're only moments away. In North Carolina.......my goodness. Who would have guessed?

 

He’s at the top of the subdivision— says he’s got 10 freezers in his garage , a dozen gen sets and a bunch of campers lining his driveway with about a mile of extension cords—him and his neighbor are the only ones with a well so they are the water distribution point and everyone seems to be coping— except for the Debutants and bankers and lawyers— says they ain’t worth titties on a boar hawg when times gets hard

 

I’m on city water. My Pa in law has a well. We have water. He has no power for his pump. But he doesn’t have 10 gensets either

 

I guess I fall somewhere in the middle. I ain’t ready for a zombie apocalypse, but a week without power is almost like camping. So it ain’t bad. Long as my food isn’t spoiling

 

I am willing to bet, that when you were a youngster, attending grade school, you were the kid that raised his hand at 3:25 and said “ Mrs Jamison, you forgot to assign the homework assignment for tonight “
