Probably because I asked for homework. That’s why it was only 1.5 times. Credit for good behavior

Well. When you’re a certified retard they can’t technically expel you. You have to go to bad kid school at night. Only time a learning disability actually helped.

Can have too much education: Eg..

And it is important to know where you come from.

A young man: homeless in New Orleans, sits to rest on the steps of a mansion. Well dressed lady comes by, stops in front and asks why he is sitting there. He explains he is homeless, has no money, no craft and no future.

She tells him to come inside. Tells him it is her house; that several women live there, and periodically will go upstairs with a male guest. He is to keep count of the number of times each woman makes this journey. Simple, he can do this. She then arranges for a room for him to reside in and obtains him a decent wardrobe.

He settles in; time passes and like in all good easy things; he messes up the count.

There is HELL to pay. The PAY is all fouled up. He is tossed out on the street. He goes west, hitchhiking kind of lost and drifting. Last ride ends at a roadside intersection in Texas.

He is sitting there and this old truck comes chugging up; steaming from the hood and emitting odd noises. Driver gets out, tosses his cap on the road curses, a blue streak and begins to walk away. Intrigued he inquires. The truck is being abandoned, it is a piece of junk, has broken the owner, title is in the glove box, you want it. It is yours and walks away.

Young man steps around it; to get in the shade, and lo and behold it is loaded with watermelons. He is standing at the rear when a car stops. Driver asks how much he is charging for the melons. No fool; just young and homeless, he says $1.50. Man takes 3. He looks around in the trailer and finds a cardboard sign showing $2.00 each. Native intelligence tells him $2.00 is more than$1.50 and he relocates the sign back a little way on the ground. Cars stop, buy melons and he is sold out by noon the next day.

Hitches a ride to the next town and to a truck dealer. Describes as best he can and a mechanic rides out to see this truck. Hey, all you need is a hose, clamps, water and go. Be about $35.00 in all and I can go back, get the parts and fix you today. Deal done, he cranks and drives into town and gets a room. Next morning at breakfast he is chatting with another trucker and gets the word on where watermelons come from? FL, How to get there? This way. What do they cost? I get them for $.50 from XYX Produce in AB, FL. Here is his card, tell him I sent you.

Following the directions given, the young man travels to FL, buys a load, returns to the same area and sells. Learns he can stop shorter or travel further and still sell. Other items also can be handled. So he hires a driver; sets up a roadside stand, and prospers. Several years later he is coast to coast like Stuckey’s was. Life is good. Becomes rich and famous. Celebrity.

Cason has him on TV one night. In the course of conversation, it is revealed he never went to school, has no education at all.

Carson is astounded. Just, think, Where you would be today if you had gotten an education?

Answer: I know exactly. I’d still be keeping count in that New Orleans whorehouse.

They got it bad in Valdosta. I'm down here hauling crane matts for the power company. I've seen some places down here that got really beat up.

It bothered me for a lot of years. Ashamed and embarrassed. Then one day I decided that the whole world was full of ####. Learning differently isn’t a disability. It’s just simply different. I’m perfectly capable of learning. It’s just not the conventional way that school teachers are taught.
