    I always thought of that like "on Call" pay.

    Used to be at the union halls, members would get paid a little to sit around and wait for a call out, either by phone or a boss showing up looking for workers.

    Had to have bodies in the hall to dispatch or bosses would stop calling and go someplace else.

    I remember these model macks pulling into Occidental /Hooker , Monsanto chemical plants . They must've had the fuel turned ALL the way up , looked like a destroyer laying down a smoke screen . Hauling phosphate.

    They threw money at me. But but but. Now they want it tarped. So let's get pictures of the product. 9'6" tall is hard to tarp for this old man. Idk. I thought I had some money, but .......
