Its been that way for over a week... Last week I went through there in the very small hours of the morning so it hardly slowed me down.... But thus time trucks were backed up for over a mile at the stop sign to get on US30.

I think the mega drivers were panicking at the idea of having to take a 2 lane... Lol

I just got to Cokeville... I hate having to stop this close to home but the Electronic "Nag," as my wife calls it, says I'm no longer safe to drive.

Any way... I started hitting very light flurries on Elk Mtn. and they continued, on and off, until Green River... Just enough to make little swirls in on the asphalt in the head lights. Let us know what its like tomorrow. The farther west I got the more positive the DOT signs messages became.

I can say I know well Brasil because I was born and raised there and traveled quite some in that country... the nature is very beautiful yes.. but getting totally destroyed by its people... Brazilians are very good looking people in general.. totally mixed and blended race in a way there's nowhere else in the world... But I left that country many many years ago because I couldn't stand the mentality of its people... which I know in fact, it will never change... not in my lifetime... :biggrin_25512: So I say the only 3 things I like from Brasil are: the food, the weather and the music...
I, as a woman, don't like the fact that Brasil is known as a country with girls parading on beaches in skimpy bikinis... but that's the image Brazilians have to show... other than that, it's extremely dangerous like you can't even imagine, it's filthy, very polluted, life means nothing to them cause there's no respect for life... no respect for any laws... Brasil is synonym of incompetence, inefficiency, high corruption... I could go on and on.. but don't need to do that...
I am here not for vacation, but because my dad was seriously ill and ended up passing away last Month...
Now I have many things to do and take care of in Brasil since I am the only "child" he had...
But yes.. I plan on enjoying whatever I can during this trip... and very glad I am not facing the nasty winter on the roads in the USA.... :biggrin_25519:
Glad you are enjoying the pictures.. I will keep posting whenever I can...

Theres always US30 out of Laramie to Walcot Jct.... Always a better route of the weather is getting stupid.

Speaking of stupid weather... I got hit by a cross wind gust coming into Rock Springs about MM 106ish... In the blink of an eye I was shoved to the hammer lane, and counter steerimg for dear life... It was the hardest I've ever been hit by the wind... And I'm grossing nearly 77k.

They had strong wind advisory up. Seems to have died down some now.

Now it's black ice advisory until Laramie with blowing snow.

The cameras don't look too bad atm.

Well now it's closed altogether between Laramie and Rawlins.

    My condolences on your loss.

I've herd it can be rough in places in Brazil, usually I get told that followed by..."you need to visit to try the real thing" far as the food goes. It's on my bucket list to visit., well...South America in general. Would be a good road trip to hit all the countries down that way.

Cold beer, an good food is all I require.

Being from DC originally I already walk with my head on a swivel. If the crooks don't get you, the politicians will..err..well, one in the same but still. Ya'll get my point. ;)

Any of you folks out on the west coast, be safe. It would appear it's on fire.

I'll keep my hurricanes, at lest those are somewhat predictable.

Here's a sticker for @Dave_in_AZ and his furry crew..

Now it's closed from about the TA to Rawlins.

It's not the snow. It's ice.

I'm going to have to start implementing cat treat rationing.

Yes supposedly we have a public utility commission that is supposed to be the controlling effort against the utilities raising the rates uncontrolled. Pffffffffft as if. The PUC of Maine has never rejected a rate hike. In the last 5 years our electric has gone up 25%. Our electric bill of $70 in the winter is now $105. Every storm we get a power loss means next year it is going to go up by $5-$8. The group is not for the people as they are supposed to be.

This mornings wakeup music. Some what fitting to the above.

But they have the east bound side open. This is a level of unfairness unprecedented in the history of modern freight relocation.
