I have a bunch of CD's of old trains. Big Boy is mentioned in there somewhere, I will have to set aside time sitting on my az with doing nothing to catch up.
BUT... What caught me was that the year I run west for Beneke, traversed Tehachapi often. Back then; 1957/58 going west, you would see one of these puffabillys sitting off down to your right off US 466 chuffing and waiting. Westbound freight come along he would whip out, catch him, and double head him over Tehachapi and help brake him off the other side. Then drop off, take the siding, catch the next heavy eastbound and cross him over.
From friend who have traveled it, I understand they have spiraled the way up and over and down. But then, it was root hog or stall/rollback.

The truck has stopped for indigenous fueling at an indigenous Peelot in the great state of Texas, after an auspicious start.

P.O.S. e log turns on, and goes dark, buttons were still lit. So's we fiddle, #### around to make certain our 10 is up.

As I'm about to call Landstarve and tell them to put this elog where the sun never ever shines, The OM says try the brightness button.

We are chalking this up to The Lord working in mysterious ways, delaying us enough so that we didn't run into a FedEx truck wondering all over the two(2) lane in the dark.

There was somebody in the crapper next to me grunting and bearing down harder than most people do bench pressing.

    Pretty sure it's Opus.
