That's still probably in the neighborhood of another 350 to 400 miles.

Sorry for your luck... I feel for ya, Been there myself... but it's even worse for me because it usually happens when I'm home bound. And Cheyenne is only about 8 hours from home. I hate getting stuck that close to home.

Got stuck in Grand Island last winter... it sucked but I was ok with it because home was nearly 1000 miles away still.

I said the same thing earlier. I've driven that same section many times when it was at least like that, and foggy, at night.

Must've had a big lawsuit or something.

Or Nurse Nancy is at the helm today.

In Wyoming the closures over the past 24 hours were mostly caused by people driving too fast for conditions and following too close.

While not my video I have driven by a few of these in the past couple of days.

If people slowed down and didn't follow so close the roads would be open more often. An out of control Mustang injured some Firefighters a few days ago too so WYDOT is probably being a bit more cautious, especially because a lot of the recovery crews are a bit sleep deprived. Once people remember that they have to slow the heck down this year the closures will tend to waiting for worse conditions.

I feel for the girls working in the TA at the fuel desk.

Dudes are all complaining, some pretty nasty, about the highway department.

Like there's anything they can do about it.

So from what I can see... the so called bad stretch of 80 is between Laramie and rawlins... if they wouldn't shut down us30 some of that traffic would go... I hated to see them starting to shut down US30 just because 80 is close... stupid people have forsett the state to do stupid closures to prevent stupid people wrecks... just STUPID!!
