Someone mentioned buying a battery saw. I got one for the wife. It’s a little 12”bar dewalt. It’s a decent tool for what it is. It’s good for trimming the occasional limb or making a few quick cuts. It’s nothing compared to a gas saw, but for a guy that doesn’t need to “cut wood” it’s worth the money.

Oh yeah. And yeah the safety is a big part of it. Plus nobody really bucks logs with a saw anymore on a professional crew. They have machines for that now. Also new saws spin a lot faster than old saws. So the speed advantage is sort of diminished.Dave_in_AZ, High Stepper, Sons Hero and 9 others Thank this.
