    This might be a crazy idea, but unhook your trailer, get fuel then hook back up to your trailer.

    Or at least pull your trailer to the edge of the hole and remove your hoses from the trailer. Then you wont find a bobtail sitting where your truck was.

    Use a non corp card if you choose to bobtail for fuel.

    Reviewing fuel receipts during as part of log audits is within their skill set.

    If you use your corporate card logs dept may give you a log falsification warning. Or throw/edit you to on-duty.
