It's just before 3AM here in Virginia, and I had to rise to take some nitroglycerin for my angina. Earlier, Keri texted me that her husband's commanding officer offered to extend his leave until the 15th before he departs for Europe. Keri plans to stay with a fellow Flight Attendant in Williamsburg. This means I'll get to spend more time with my daughters, but it's bittersweet as they prepare to say farewell to him. I renewed my lease three months ago, wishing now for two extra bedrooms.

Today's Veterans Day, and a local spot offers free BBQ sandwiches to vets. We'll likely head there for lunch; I'll pass my sandwich to Keri and just have coffee while enjoying time with my children. Keri decided to prolong her leave as well.

 

Enjoy the extra time. I’m sure it’ll be fun.

 

They arrived here about 15 minutes ago. Keri is making breakfast. Bethany is enthused with my Oxygen cannula. I can tell just how small my apartment is (435 Sq Ft) when they are here.
