    Anyone have some info on I-40 to 81. Got a run from Texas mt Crawford. Wasn’t sure what the traffic has been like since part of 40 is closed from tenn to nc, and people detouring.

    The biggest issue I see with what he’s got there is the gap along the end out in the middle. I would’ve cut it out further, made it straighter, and screwed a short piece of wood to the existing section to allow something else to screw the new piece to.

    He might have to tape it with Durabond or Easysand first, and then block and skim it with regular joint compound before attempting to match the texture.
