To your point - It would be tremendously naive in my opinion to feel that humans did not and do not have an impact on the climate. It is even more naive to think that somehow we can control what will happen in the future. Sure, let's do what we reasonably can to reduce our impact, but let's not pretend that paying a tax will fix the climate.

Remember the commercials when we were kids that had an older Native American gentleman looking at litter along the highway with a tear in his eye? That still sticks with me and I abhore littering, but that is something that we can easily improve on. Things like volcanos and meteors and solar flares, not so much.

A little tongue in cheek here, but has anybody considered that the erection of all the wind farms across the world might possibly screw with the rotation of the earth? Lol, unintended consequenes........

So. Was gonna drive down to Little Austin aka Columbia. It's about 65 miles. Get about 40 miles down the road and .......tranny acts up. Did the same thing the original did last October. Rpm's went up to about 4k. Tranny temp went up to 235. So turned around and stopped at Chevy shop that put in tranny last year. Fluid smelled a little burnt. Drove ok no slippy. So have an appt next week to drop it off and they gonna pull the pan. Its days are numbered. Oh tranny has a whopping 4000 miles on it.

THEN. on way home from Chevy shop F Cheque engine lite comes on. F me. Ran fine all tge way back. Maybe it will spontaneously combust and put itself out of its misery. More later .......

Might want to call down before going back on that appointment. Just to determine clearly whether the warranty was for 3K or 5K.
