What if it Snows?

I have heard all sorts of horror stories about the VA but I have never once experienced it myself. Every VAMC I have been too was top shelf and everyone there from the people pushing you around in wheel chairs to the doctors genuinely care. You are in good hands.

 

Loaded omelet with ground beef, bell peppers, mustard, onion powder, salt pepper, cheese, Arby’s Horsey sauce, ketchup, Tabasco sauce, and a touch of sour cream, washed down with a cup of Joe

 

The VA's quality can be hit or miss, akin to Walmart's variability. The hospital's performance often reflects its management's leadership. However, I must highlight that the Cardiology Department at the Richmond Virginia VA Hospital is exceptional. The nurses in the Cath lab waiting area are top-notch and amiable. One even contacted Keri last time to update her when I was moved. In my nearly 12 years within the VA health system, I've noticed that when services are good, they're excellent, but when they're not, they're dreadful. Another observation is that many of the staff at the main desks across the clinics can be quite rude and condescending. I recall an incident a few years back where I had to escort Keri out of a clinic to prevent a heated exchange with one such employee.

The thing is rude and condescending can also apply to private Clinics and Hospitals.

Edited to add, To get Keri that upset takes some doing. She puts up with BS coming from the cabin crew and flight crew as well as the passengers all the time. This person at the Hampton VAMC was openly hostile. I still remember the flames in Keri's eyes as we was in the elevator.
