Are those scanners much count without the program /app ? Like say you wanted to get into a cummins, detroit or puccer ecu

Yeah. They are good for reading codes and such. You can’t program with them. I have a harbor freight one for the truck. It will read codes and do a forced regen on all makes and models. As well as construction equipment. Again it will not change parameters or nothing.

 

Needt to get the right size first trip so go get it right...

The one I have is NAPAS brand, I don't really think brand makes much difference with them, have a friend with snap- ones brand another with Pep- boys brand and they are all pretty much the same.

I don't what you are working on but dads Frieghtshaker and Sterling you could get into with a combo of cruise control and the trip odometer buttons.
