Guess you just had to be there

 

Have to say it’s probably one of the best couple hours I’ve had.

One of the pilots I was good friends with, was selected to train as a backup for the Thunderbirds. (If they only knew what happened in Japan) out of the blue, one day, sends me a message, wants to know if I could make it to Nellis, if so, I got a ride waiting. Just couldn’t get there in time. That was really disappointing.

Another missed opportunity. Family friend calls me, says hey want to spend three days with the Blue Angels? ME, what! Says, yep lunch, dinner, ground training and a full ride during a practice session. Got one spot left, and it’s for two people. Now the catch, was a fundraiser for something and would be $7500 for the event. Couldn’t afford it by myself, all the people I know who would have done it were broke or couldn’t get in touch with in time to put the money up. That really stank.

 

Well hell been in here all evening. Dad had a bad day looking foward to 2am when he'll need to #### and i get cleanup duty . Let the rag drag n the mop flop l8r.
