I've snapped my wrist twice, and it was starting to put a hurt on me. Auto for local would be a good thing.
I curled up in that sleeper and slept like a rhinoceros many times. All on the clock.
Especially the grocery warehouse loads at 0100, etc.Cattleman84, x1Heavy, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this. -

Gee Flaswamprat... You got me day dreaming of my Grandfather now...
I have a movie going on in my mind. I was about 8 years old, sitting in the bow of a boat. Grandfather at the outboard motor. Going out to fish on a big lake in Upstate NY. Going against the wind. Waves breaking the bow. Me all hunkered down near the bow. Waves splashing over me. Then my Grandfather looked close at me to make sure I was ok... He burst out laughing. ... remember it like it was yesterday.
My Grandfather was everything a Grandfather could be to a child. He would tell me things he would never tell his children. I'd tell my mother. She would be shocked. Remember telling my mother: "Gee mom...that's the kind of things you talk about when you go fishing." .... My father turned to her with a big smile.
I remember telling my mother; My Grandfather told me not to call him Nonu. Call him Grandpa. Nonu didn't mean anything to him because I didn't speak Italian. But always call him Nonu when my mother was around because it made her happy. ... My Mother was shocked. None of his children had as good a relationship with him that I had. He just didn't allow it.
I admit... Their house. It was much more than what they seemed they could afford. Even though everyone worked. Remember my mother telling about them all going out to pick in fields to earn money. Grandfather had a humble job. Still... My Aunt told me their house cost $18K in... I think it was 1918(?)... about that time. That was an expensive house. Huge house. Living room was about 35 feet, by 25 feet. Master bedroom directly above, same size. I can only rationalize and speculate. My Grandfathers brother provided money? Can also rationalize that my Grandfather had the ability to get the Mob in trouble all the way back to Sicily. All he had to do was talk. Hush money? I can only speculate.Last edited: Nov 6, 2019

Yeah, some bad management going on there. I hope Xerox can make something of HP. HP's death knell was in the wind when it sold off its notebook line.FlaSwampRat, Dave_in_AZ and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I do not think so. I can still see the sun. Also, if you still running paper logs you can work 25 hours per day.Cattleman84, austinmike, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this.
