I'm watching a program on TV... it's called "90 days to marry" or something like that... It's about real people from different countries who met each other online seeking marriage.. And then, they meet in person in America or abroad and have 90 days to figure out if they are going to marry and move to the USA. It's so crystal clear to see in 99% of those couples that one is a sucker, a loser, totally blind and the other is a liar, an opportunist and manipulator.... there's a lot of insanity in those couples.... :biggrin_2552:
Not many interesting useful things to watch on this TV here... :biggrin_25512:

We dated and were married in just under 70 days. That marriage lasted about 14 years and we are still together more or less as a team going on 22 years so far.

When you find the right person it's a wonderful thing. Good and bad.

That show does not accurately put people together, I think they are deliberately picking problem people who are liars, thieves, deceptive or other wise not a good marriage material to create chaos, conflicts, viewer addiction to fights, cliffhangers, suspense and so on. It's a TV show. a mindless construct designed to waste your time.

If for example I ran into a female, we go to dinner. By the time midnight rolls around we will know for sure if it is worth exploring or call it a night and leave it there for life. I can tell you there has been several good girls who were quite something but they could not understand what I am as a trucker excepting I am away.

These girls don't need their man to be away. They are with issues and seeking a mate that they can be with all the time at home. And so it goes. I wish them the best but they have their lives.

One in particular was crazy. Back in high school even. We never quite had a talk about that because at one point her mind failed her and the State removed her from the State School and put her into a sanatorium which is common practice for those who are unable to function in normal society and become wards of the State to protect them from being preyed upon for mental defects, illnesses or other really profound failures in their development requiring their removal from normal society.

Im still in touch with several from that era. And we lost a few along the way. Life is like that. I know that because my ex and I are essentially a team and work well together solving problems in life, it would be impossible for me to chase another. After a certain age that's something best left alone. I don't worry about it. Except one fact, if I go early she will be alone in life. I don't know what she will do, but she will have plenty of funds to make those decisions when the time comes.

If anyone is fortunate in life there is always that one someone you meet. If you do not understand to build a relationship right then properly, it will be something you may regret not taking time for that person. Or vice versa due to life issues keeping the two of you apart. Trucking has a way of doing that.

However. Television is imitation of real life for drama, entertainment and so on. Some of the content is truly junk. It would be very little of it that is worth keeping. I hate to be such a rain drip cloud regarding television, but what I have seen it become on the satellite is truly bad. Ive been considering chopping that account and use the money for some other service. Commercials for example are running between 5 to 7 minutes every 6 minutes of television show content now. There is no point anymore. Especially when the advertising is a waste of time.

And our local channels? Truly crap. Unless you like basketball or something. And incessant arguing among several people at all hours of the morning.

Tell them you will take it for free or maybe $50.00.
Then overhaul it into something cool, like a toy hauler or?
