In browsing thru a conservative forum today and following along the confirmation hearing results, I came across a piece on the return to office work.
In going down thru the "comments" they were many and varied. From the obvious: " Well, I not gonna do it ." " To I might go in 3 days week," etc.
The following is a copy of one of the comments. just thought it was a pretty good summation of the situation.

The child like mentality of the American workforce is madness. You really need to understand that this is why employers are looking to technology, AI, and robotics to replace you. In the real world you are not going to win a trophy just for showing up for a zoom or teams meeting. You must be the best, better than all the rest. Sadly, it is going to be hunger that will finally wake the US workforce up to the reality of the world that we actually live in. No one will care when you say, "I have a wife and three kids and we can't afford food". That is when your reputation will come back to haunt you. You will be looking into the starvation you inflicted upon your family. That is the day you will grow up and realize the world does not revolve around you. When you are middle aged and having to bust your tail cleaning tables and washing dishes for minimum wage and that is all you can get. It is going to be a harsh wake up call for so many Americans. If you are falling through the cracks now, wait ten more years. You will be completely gone with no prospect of recovery. Make the most of every moment to hone your skills and get ready to be tested. Whoever told you it "only gets better", they lied to you. It only gets tougher and there is no such thing as equity. The only equity in life is we are all going to die some day. No one can escape that. Beyond that, life is what you make of it. Nothing just happens, you have to make it happen.

It drizzled on me as I was doing the bike search for ELIZABETH. The omnibus sky from Wick appears to be approaching The Casa Del OM.

Welp we got a couple of inches in between 11:00 and 13:00.

I5 Northbound closed for a wreck near GeeCees been that way for 4 hours now.

Another north bound near exit 49 been there for 3 hours.

One southbound at exit 59. Truck sideways Completely blocking I5. Been there 2 and a half hours.

And this just in----- north bound near exit 63. another wreck. Probably some entitled P.O.S. that got stuck behind one of the other wreck.

So of course we have the impatient id10ts taking surface streets. packing them to ice and getting stuck on every little hill. Had to go around some fool in a pickup with Iowa plates that stopped at the stop sign on an incline and couldn't move.
