Remember you posting about a new one, but was never sure you pulled the trigger on it.
What are you getting put of the delayed delivery.
I would not settle for anything less than an extra track suit, and at least a 3 pack of wife beaters and upgraded sandals!
What if it Snows?

You are a pushover. I would have demanded all that plus a case of water for the bathroom and a prayer rug.Dave_in_AZ, lovesthedrive, thelushlarry and 5 others Thank this.

Well the near hit last night from the parking kamikaze screwed up my sleep. Didn’t get nearly enough and then overslept. Tough day but I stayed safe and focused. It was just one of those days.
Made it 615 miles and got to exactly where I needed. Tomorrow should be a nice run and then deliver.
I’m parked in a nice safe, dark, quiet, legal hidey hole without a mega, reefer, or another truck around.kemosabi49, Dave_in_AZ, lovesthedrive and 12 others Thank this. -
I'm at one of those places also. I call it home.lovesthedrive, thelushlarry, dwells40 and 10 others Thank this.

Well I woke up to my phone ringing... A rookie with my company (safety gave him my number an told him to call me if he needed any advise).
Me: Yellow (yawn)
Rookie: Where are you?
Me: Hannible, MO
Rookie: You got snow?
Me: (Pull curtain open) I don't know... All my windows are completely covered in ice.
Rookie: Yeah same here, in Walcott, IA. What do I do?
Me: Scrape your windows, warm up the truck check the weather and road conditions online. Then decide if its safe to go. Your the captain of that ship.
Rookie: Ok, what you going to do?
Me: I'm not even dressed yet, so I dont know. Probably take it slow and easy, and get to Cincinnati by tonight.
Rookie: Oh, sorry to wake you up... Be safe.
Me: Yep, you too... Bye
I have not seen the sun at all today... Had freezing sleet this morning with a healthy dose of wind. Then snow and fog, followed by more sleet and finally rain. The highest temp I saw all day was 38 degrees... Most of the day it was hovering around 25. 8 hours and 20 mins to go 431 miles. Had to stop once for fuel, then again 2 hours later for new wipers when mine decided to start coming apart. But I made it to my reciever so I can be the first to unload in the morning. I'm exhausted!
And to make things even better... The brunt of the storm that I drove through today will be over me in the morning... And I'm sure I'll be in the same crap most of the way back to the west.
What a day.kemosabi49, Dave_in_AZ, lovesthedrive and 12 others Thank this. -
